Link between gluten and hay fever?
Having given up gluten almost a year ago, I'm interested to see if my hay fever symptoms lessen this spring.
There are a number of suggestions online that once a person cuts out bread, wheat, doughnuts and the rest, their seasonal allergy symptoms improve. Here's hoping. Would love to hear from you in the comments below if you've tried this. And I'll update below as the summer goes on.
Hay fever causes real misery for many. For me it's more of a nuisance, but it'd obviously be awesome if leaving gluten behind helps, and I'm eager to report back for those who have a real problem with seasonal allergies.
UPDATE: After getting really excited during May, and thinking I'd cracked this whole hay fever thing, I've been full on with hay fever symptoms over the last couple of weeks. So sadly my gluten theory didn't work. If you've got any natural remedies for Hay Fever tho, let me know, I'll try them!
